HOW DO YOU REPLACE CLEARY?! NRL FANTASY ROUND 21 PREVIEW

Kiraz led the way in Round 20 with 3 tries on his way to 98 points in the win over the Knights. Meanwhile, Tapine continues to prove his naysayers wrong, getting a season-high 13 tackle busts contributing to a round total of 93 points. Yet looking to Round 21, have you got any trades left up your sleeves? Cleary, Moses, Klemmer, Hastings and Pat Carrigan are all out.

How do you replace Nathan Cleary in NRL Fantasy?

BUY, BUY, BUY!

Cleary out means lots of cash freed up, here are the premier options to replace him.

Cameron Munster (HLF) - 9.6% Ownership - $777k

One of the premier halves in the 2022 premiership yet owned by under 10% of coaches heading into Round 21. A season average of 60 makes him the 2nd best half in the game, just marginally behind DCE. If you need a half, buy him.

Damien Cook (HOK) - 14.8% Ownership - $919k

The biggest reason most coaches haven’t been able to get Cook all season is just the amount of cash required to jump on him. With him being almost 10 points ahead of any other hooker, another obvious option.

Ryan Matterson (EDG/MID) - 4.1% Ownership - $760k

Despite having an average in the mid 50’s, he is owned by under 5% of coaches. Matterson also provides dual position cover to provide greater depth to your squad. One for those looking for a POD.

ONES TO WATCH

Some interesting halves look set to fill the backup half role.

Dylan Brown (HLF) - 5.4% Ownership - $623k

At 623K, Dylan Brown is one to watch as he looks to take more of a leading role with Moses. Historically in the games without Moses, he averages 65 largely attributed to a significant uptick in his kicking metres. Right behind Munster and DCE in the halves tier list.

DROP!

David Kemmer (MID) - 4.75 Ownership - $685k

David Klemmer has been indefinitely stood down with a show cause notice, wait for further news, but he is likely a sell.

Nathan Cleary (HLF) - 27.4% Ownership - $833k

A lifting tackle on Dylan Brown has led to Cleary missing the rest of the fantasy season. Sell even if it is your last trade, it’s not worth holding this much cash.

Mitchell Moses (HLF) - 10.6% Ownership - $677k

Moses is set to miss at least a month with a broken finger, will miss your h2h finals, sell.
