Is the prince of Port finally legit?! AFL Fantasy Round 16 – Buy Sell Hold

Darcy Cameron or Brodie Grundy? Is the prince of Port finally legit? These are some of the questions that will be answered in the round 16 preview of buy, sell and hold. It’s important to keep in mind that GameDay Squad is a dynasty fantasy football platform and that will be heavily taken into consideration in this article. Let us know your thoughts on who we have down below on all of our socials - twitter, facebook, instagram, discord.

Is Port Adelaide's Connor Rozee becoming the real deal?

BUY

Connor Rozee

Do I dare include Connor Rozee here? He’s becoming really hard to ignore in a fantasy sense, but he has been awesome to watch as well as he’s starting to play with some swagger and confidence out there again. In his last three games, Rozee has attended 73.3% of all centre bounce attendances, scored a goal in all three games, averaged over 25 disposals, and averaged a GDS fantasy score of 109. At 22 and the footy world at his feet, I’m willing to bet that 109 L3 average will be his floor very soon!

Isaac Cumming

I was a little wary of Isaac Cumming after we saw Harry Himmelberg erupt onto the fantasy scene with a fantasy-friendly role change to half back. I thought Isaac could be a potential casualty of that change, but I’m happy to be wrong! Cumming has averaged 132 GDS fantasy points since GWS’ round 12 bye, so everyone (me) calm down, Cumming is jet.

SELL

Matt Crouch

It’s clear that the Adelaide Crowns selection panel don’t view Matt Crouch as a player who fits the mould of their rebuild as he was dropped for the second time this year last week. We have seen him be an absolute ball magnet and fantasy gem in the past however, how can you trust Matt Crouch as a starter when his own team doesn’t? I’m going to sell, but for those brave few who hold – I hope he ends up traded to a fantasy-friendly environment!

Todd Goldstein

Has Tristen Xerri opened Todd Goldstein’s casket for him? Goldstein has been a godsend for North Melbourne for years, especially through a horrible period in the club’s history. He does though find himself at 33, his apprentice is playing some enticing footy and Goldstein has found himself playing some more forward time. If there was ever a time to sell Todd Goldstein for any value, it would be right now.

HOLD

Riley Bonner

Footy can be so bloody cruel! Just when Riley Bonner started to play at career-best form, he fractured his face. The 25-year-old out of Port Adelaide is expected to miss three to four weeks on the sidelines but don’t let that be the reason you drop him! His 121 average since his bye round in round 12 means you should absolutely hold and see what he can do when he returns, potentially even into next season.

Darcy Cameron

With Brodie Grundy slated to return in a few weeks, I would not be so quick to panic sell Darcy Cameron. GameDay Squad is a dynasty fantasy football platform and with Cameron inking a fresh 3-year deal to stay at Collingwood. He’s been an absolute star for the Pies this year as he took on the sole ruckman role, and after a man-of-the-match performance in round 15 against GWS I think he’s created a massive headache for the Collingwood big wigs, who do they choose between Grundy and Cameron? Who will take on Grundy’s mammoth contract if it’s the latter? Can Grundy even return to league-best form? All questions I’m not willing to give up any Darcy Cameron cards for.
