GameDay Squad AUS Cricket Round 16 Preview: The Melbourne Renegades take on the Adelaide Strikers in the 18th match of BBL13 in Melbourne at Marvel Stadium on Friday the 29th of December.

Here's everything you need to know ....

Round Preview

Predicted Teams

Melbourne Renegades: 1. Joe Clarke, 2. Quinton de Kock, 3. Jake Fraser-McGurk, 4. Mackenzie Harvey, 5. Aaron Finch, 6. Jono Wells, 7. Will Sutherland, 8. Tom Rogers, 9. Kane Richardson, 10. Adam Zampa, 11. Mujeeb ur Rahman

Adelaide Strikers: 1. Matt Short, 2. D'Arcy Short, 3. Chris Lynn, 4. Adam Hose, 5. Jake Weatherald, 6. Jamie Overton, 7. James Bazley, 8. Harry Nielsen, 9. Wes Agar, 10. Cameron Boyce,11. David Payne

Start Vs Sit

Batters - Jonathan Wells vs Adam Hose

Both players have had mixed performances with the bat so far, Wells is averaging 31 points and Hose is averaging 28 points. Wells usually comes in at six in the Renegades batting order and this is a little low for my liking. Especially when you have the likes of QDK, Clarke and JFM coming in before him. Hose is a great finisher for the Strikers but he can knuckle down and graft out a decent innings when required. There isn't much between these batsmen to be honest and I'm leaning towards Hose. Simply because I think he has more of a chance to spend time at the crease due to where he bats in the batting order.

Start: Adam Hose

All-Rounder - D'Arcy Short vs James Bazley

After an impressive half century against the Thunder, Short didn't really trouble the scorers against the Sixers and was dismissed for only three runs. Bazley has been having disappointing BBL13 from a fantasy point of view and averages 26 points. It's not that his performances have been disappointing, it's been the opportunities he's been given. He's coming in at seven in the Strikers batting order and has only bowled three overs across the two matches that he has played. Due to his limited opportunities, I'll be avoiding Bazley for now.

Start: D'Arcy Short

Bowler - Kane Richardson vs Adam Zampa

Who to start out of Richardson and Zampa is a coin flip in my opinion. Richardson has picked up four wickets and averages 33 points, Zampa has picked up four wickets and averages 27 points. Bowlers have found it tough going at Marvel Stadium over the last couple of years but pace bowlers tend to perform better. There isn't much in it but I'm leaning towards starting Richardson, only because of the game being at Marvel. In saying this, pace bowlers have struggled against the Strikers batsmen in BBL13. If the Strikers bowl second, Boyce might even sneak into my starting side. At this stage, I have Richardson ranked just in front of Zampa and Boyce.

Start: Kane Richardson
