Start Vs Sit

Batters - James Vince vs Adam Hose

Vince has looked out of touch so far but I'm expecting him to come into form at any time. Hose got the Strikers across the line against the Thunder with some powerful hitting and scored 28 runs off 9 balls. Since BBL12 at the SCG, openers are averaging 32 points and middle order batsmen are averaging 23 points in the first innings. My decision on who to start all comes down to which team bats first. If the Sixers bat first, I'll likely be starting Vince. If the Strikers bat first, I'll likely be starting Hose.

Start: Vince if the Sixers bat first and Hose if the Strikers bat first

Game 4 Preview

All-Rounder - Jamie Overton vs D'Arcy Short

Overton was impressive in his BBL debut and scored 60 points. Short had a great debut for the Strikers with the bat and scored 84 points, this surpassed his BBL12 highest score by a whopping 41 points. My decision on who to start all comes down to which team bats first. If the Sixers bat first, I'll likely be starting Overton as pace bowlers perform well at the SCG in the first innings. If the Strikers bat first, I'll likely be starting Short as opening batters perform well in the first innings. He may be also called upon to roll his arm round as the SCG surface can aid spin bowlers in the second innings.

Start: Overton if the Sixers bat first and Short if the Strikers bat first

Bowler - Cameron Boyce vs Todd Murphy

Boyce made a tidy start to BBL13 and went on to score 24 points in GDS. Murphy only bowled the one over against Hurricanes in Abbott's absence but I think he will keep his spot in the starting side as the SCG tends to be favourable for spinners. If he stays in the Sixers starting XI, I'll likely be picking him ahead of Boyce as my third bowler. In the four matches Murphy played at the SCG in BBL12, he averaged 38 points and finished in the top three bowlers on three occasions.

Start: Todd Murphy
